Walla Walla Spring Release
As we prepare for the third annual WineSquire Walla Walla Spring Release Tour, we thought it would be fun to look back at the last two events. Here are some pictures from last year, which included stops at Kiona, Kestler, Alexandria Nicole, Waterbrook, Walla Walla Vintners, Dunham, Isenhower, Rulo, Flying Trout, Vapiano, Waters, K, and DaMA.
We're back in Walla Walla April 30-May 2nd to see what 2010 has to offer!

New Mexico Winery D.H. Lescombes
By Tom DiNardo
Outstanding wines available at desert-hot prices!
In the past New Mexico has been known for picturesque vistas, green chiles, and desert. Very few people know that there is actually a thriving wine industry in the Southwest's Land of Enchantment known as New Mexico. For those few oenophiles in the know, the New Mexico winery that most have lauded previously has been Gruet which is known for their sparkling wines. In the past, the majority of other wineries just couldn't or wouldn't focus on producing finer wines, other than novelty wines like chipotle merlot or habanero mead.
Wines of the Midwest
By Tom DiNardo
The Indiana State Fair Wine Competition began in 1973 as an “Indiana only” event, and, in its infancy, was obviously geared to promote Indiana wine growers and later wine makers from throughout the Midwest. In 1992, Dr. Richard Vine, Purdue University Enology Professor, began allowing wine entries from around the world to participate. In 2006 Christian Butzke took over the leadership as the new Executive Director of the Indy International Wine Competition (www.in.gov/iwc) as it is now known.
